Our objectives are central to our mission at African Disability Policy Advocates (ADPA). We strive to make a significant impact in promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities across Africa. Here's a breakdown of our key objectives:

  1. To influence and support the development, implementation, and monitoring of inclusive policies, legislation, and programs at local, national, regional and continental levels.
  2. To build and strengthen the advocacy capacity of persons with disabilities, especially women and girls, to enable them to effectively participate in and influence decision-making processes.
  3. To amplify the voices of persons with disabilities through awareness raising, strategic communication, and engagement with policymakers, civil society, and other stakeholders.
  4. To foster partnerships, networks, and alliances with like-minded organisations and stakeholders to promote disability rights and inclusive development.
  5. To conduct research, documentation, and knowledge sharing on issues affecting persons with disabilities, with particular attention to intersectional discrimination faced by women and girls in Africa.
  6. To monitor and hold duty-bearers accountable for the implementation of international, regional, and national commitments on the rights of persons with disabilities.
  7. To promote inclusive and accessible environments that support the full and effective participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society.
  8. To engage in any other lawful activities that promote the vision, mission, and values of the African Disability Policy Advocates (ADPA)
