VOLUNTEER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

1. Disability Rights Knowledge
Understanding of the UNCRPD, African Disability Protocol (ADP), and regional/national disability laws and policies.
Experience working with persons with disabilities or Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).

2. Advocacy and Policy Engagement
Skills in policy analysis, stakeholder mapping, and influencing legislative or policy processes.
Experience in campaign planning, lobbying, or grassroots mobilisation.

3. Gender and Intersectionality Expertise
Strong grasp of gender equality frameworks and how they intersect with disability rights.
Experience working on gender-based violence, inclusive education, or economic empowerment of women and girls.

4. Community Engagement and Capacity Building
Skills in facilitation, training, or popular education—especially in inclusive, rights-based methods.
Ability to adapt materials and approaches for diverse literacy and accessibility levels.

5. Communications and Media
Experience in digital advocacy, storytelling, or using social media for human rights campaigns.
Ability to create accessible content (captioned videos, alt-text, plain language summaries).

6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
Experience in designing or supporting rights-based M&E systems, especially with participatory or disability-inclusive approaches. 

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Miss Faustina Asantewaa Ntiamoah-Policy and Advocacy Support Volunteer

Asantewaa Ntiamoah is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and women’s empowerment advocate, serving as Vice President of the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists Women’s Wing and Organizing Secretary of GAMLS Volta Region.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Narh Bita College and has applied to pursue a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Ghana. In her role with ADPA, she supports policy and advocacy initiatives that advance disability rights, inclusion, and community well-being.

Ms. Monica Akpakini is a social service provider who is passionate about building relationships and Providing outstanding clients services through advocacy, empowerment, building capacity and resilience for individuals, groups and families well-being, especially persons with disabilities.

She is ADPA‘s volunteer in charge of Policy and Advocacy Support.

She is Skilled in crises intervention, case documentation, demonstrate excellent problem solving, and building rapport with clients work experiences both in justice Administration and clients receptionist.


Kofi Agbeko Leh is a community engagement, sustainability, and environmental management professional with over a decade of experience in public health, stakeholder coordination, and advocacy across Ghana. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Development Studies (Environment and Resource Management) from the University for Development Studies and has worked with renowned organizations including AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control, World Vision International, Social Support Foundation, and SGS Soluserve Ghana.

‎Kofi’s work has focused on driving sustainable development, promoting inclusive community health initiatives, and fostering environmental stewardship. With a strong commitment to climate change mitigation and adaptation, he advocates for policies and programs that address environmental degradation while ensuring that vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, have equal access to opportunities and resilience resources.

‎He is passionate about empowering marginalized voices—especially women, girls, and persons with disabilities—through capacity building, policy advocacy, and grassroots engagement. Kofi aligns with the belief that climate action and disability rights must go hand-in-hand for a truly sustainable and inclusive future.
